Otolaryngology Medical Director
Job Summary
To provide leadership and direction for the claims review program, the remote Otolaryngology Medical Director with expertise in Facial Plastic Surgery will manage the quality and effectiveness of medical services, participate in claims review, and liaise with medical providers.
Key responsibilities:
- Review surgical and professional claims for correct coding using clinical records
- Discuss cases and clinical coding situations with treating providers during scheduled telephonic discussions
- Support compliance with regulatory agency standards and provide clinical support for initial review staff
Required qualifications:
- MD or DO with a current, active, and fully unrestricted medical license
- Current board certification in Otolaryngology (ENT) with expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery
- 5+ years of clinical experience post-residency
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
