OTX Runtime Engineer

Job Summary

To design and ship a production-grade runtime for the ISO 13209 Open Test sequence eXchange (OTX) standard, the full-time remote OTX Runtime Engineer will manage the full runtime stack, including XML deserialization, type system, and integration with diagnostic protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement an ISO 13209-compliant OTX runtime, including the object model and deserializer
• Integrate the runtime with a D-Server layer, handling ODX parsing and UDS request/response
• Ship the runtime as a Kotlin Multiplatform library and maintain a comprehensive test suite for stability and conformance

Required Qualifications

• Experience shipping an OTX-compliant runtime in any language
• Deep knowledge of ISO 13209-1/2 (OTX) and ISO 22901-1 (ODX)
• Proven experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) libraries in production
• Expertise in debugging concurrency issues using Kotlin Coroutines and Mutex
• Experience developing diagnostic applications targeting J2534 and/or D-PDU API (ISO 22900-2)
