Outbound Referral Scheduler

Job Summary

To support the clinical referral process, the full-time Outbound Referral Scheduler will manage appointment requests, verify patient insurance, and ensure compliance with data entry protocols while working remotely on a 4x10 schedule including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Complete appointment request processes through Epic, telephone, or faxed requests for care
• Ensure compliance with data entry protocols and verify patient insurance coverage for specialist visits
• Inform patients about their referral appointments, including date, time, location, and special instructions

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service and/or patient experience
• Experience with Epic preferred
• One year of experience in a medical office or healthcare access center preferred
