Outbound Referral Scheduler

Job Summary

To support clinical referral processes, the full-time Outbound Referral Scheduler will manage appointment requests, verify patient insurance, and ensure compliance with data entry protocols while working remotely on a 4x10 schedule that includes weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Complete appointment request processes through Epic, telephone, or fax for care by clinicians
• Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in interactions with patients and colleagues
• Verify patient insurance coverage for specialist visits and diagnostic tests

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service and/or patient experience
• Experience with Epic is preferred
• One year of experience in a medical office or healthcare access center is preferred
