Job Summary

Managing the referral process for patients, the full-time Outbound Referral Specialist will coordinate outbound referrals, maintain accurate records, and communicate with both patients and healthcare providers in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate outbound referrals for patients to ensure timely access to specialized healthcare services
• Maintain detailed records of referrals, including patient information and outcomes, while collaborating with healthcare teams
• Communicate with patients to explain the referral process and follow up to ensure attendance at referred appointments

Required qualifications

• Background in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in healthcare coordination or referral management is beneficial
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple referrals
• Compassionate approach to patient interactions, particularly in complex healthcare situations
