Job Summary
A company is looking for an Outpatient Audit Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outpatient coding audits on medical records
- Provide coder education through the auditing process
- Stay current with regulatory changes and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in coding and auditing
- Associate or Bachelor's degree from an AHIMA-certified program or completion of a certificate program from AAPC
- Preferred credentials: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
- Recent experience in academic/level 1 trauma centers
- Experience with various software including EMR, Encoder, and Auditing software
