Outpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Auditor.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform audits of medical record documentation to ensure accurate coding according to guidelines
• Achieve productivity and quality performance standards set by management
• Assist in training new Coding Auditors and maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines

Required Qualifications

• One or more active professional credentials through AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, COC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT)
• 2+ years of experience in outpatient medical record coding and/or auditing
• Proficiency in medical record auditing and various coding methodologies (ICD-10, APC, ASC, HCPCS, CPT)
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and virtual meeting tools
