Outpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Auditor - Outpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate CPT, HCPCs, and ICD-10 coding accuracy of outpatient claims
• Review medical documentation to support billed services and provide appeal responses
• Assist with new concept development and maintain certifications and continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Coding certification in good standing (e.g., CCS, CPC, COC, RHIT, RHIA)
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCs, ICD-10 coding, and CMS guidelines
• Knowledge of outpatient coding and payment methodologies (APC, OPPS)
• Coding validation/auditing experience
• Microsoft Office experience, specifically Excel
