Outpatient Coding Quality Associate

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Outpatient Coding Quality Associate will review clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding of outpatient services, maintain compliance with coding guidelines, and support quality audits with a focus on achieving high productivity and accuracy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review outpatient coded records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring at least 95% accuracy in professional services coding
• Identify coding errors and communicate timely corrections and audit findings to coders
• Perform retrospective coding quality audits and assist in resolving local coding issues to enhance coding consistency and compliance

Required qualifications

• Three (3) years' experience in Outpatient coding
• Credentials: CCS, COC, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
