Outpatient Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Supervisor to oversee the coding team and ensure compliance with coding standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the outpatient coding team and ensure accurate coding of medical records
• Support and train coding staff, ensuring adherence to department processes
• Communicate with other departments and providers regarding coding questions and documentation clarification

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of outpatient coding experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), RHIT, or RHIA required
• In-depth knowledge of outpatient coding including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM
• Coding software and Epic experience preferred
