Outpatient Medical Coding Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Director of Outpatient Medical Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and accurate coding of outpatient visits and audits
• Monitor employee training, productivity, quality, and performance of coding specialists
• Conduct audits of medical records and collaborate with various health system leaders to improve coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health information administration or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of medical coding and/or revenue management experience required
• Seven years of relevant industry experience in outpatient medical coding preferred
• Required certifications may include RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or COC
• Experience with electronic health records and health information management applications required
