Outside Plant Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outside Plant Engineer II.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fiber administration practices to maintain and enhance the fiber network
• Analyze OTDR testing results for fiber optic cable integrity and performance
• Lead multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and coordination with vendors and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years field experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, IT, or a related field
• Associate Degree or Certification in Fiber Optics Technology, Networking and Communications, or Electronics Engineering Technology
• Certifications such as Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or OTDR Testing Certification are highly desirable
• Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP or CAPM) preferred for managing multiple projects
• Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to construction and OSP environments
