Outside Plant Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outside Plant Engineer II.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality fiber optic splicing and troubleshooting
• Conduct OTDR testing and maintain accurate network records using GIS-based systems
• Manage vendor relationships and lead multiple projects to ensure timely delivery

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of field experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, IT, or a related field
• Associate Degree or Certification in Fiber Optics Technology, Networking and Communications, or Electronics Engineering Technology
• Specialized certifications such as Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or OTDR Testing Certification
• Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP or CAPM) is highly desirable
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements related to OSP work
