Outside Plant Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outside Plant Engineer II.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fiber administration practices to maintain and enhance the fiber network
• Perform OTDR testing and analysis to ensure fiber optic cable integrity and optimal performance
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to manage multiple projects and ensure timely deliverables

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of field experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, IT, or a related field
• Associate Degree or Certification in Fiber Optics Technology, Networking and Communications, or Electronics Engineering Technology
• Certifications such as Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or OTDR Testing Certification are highly desirable
• Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP or CAPM) is preferred for handling multiple projects
• Safety Certifications, such as OSHA 10/30, relevant to construction and OSP environments
