Outside Plant Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an OSP Engineer for a remote assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design additions, upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the Outside Plant electronics telephony network
• Coordinate with various departments and maintain direct contact with customers, builders, and property owners
• Work on Local Law 97 switch decommission work related to OSP electronics equipment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical/science/mathematics fields
• Proficient computer skills, including Windows-based programs and corporate database systems
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Prior working experience and basic knowledge of telecom Outside Plant Engineering Practices is preferred
• Experience with CAD programs and proficiency in MS Excel and/or MS Access is valuable
