P-3 Flight Engineer Instructor

Job Summary

Supporting the Department of Homeland Security, the full-time P-3 Flight Engineer Instructor will provide comprehensive training and evaluation for flight crews on the P-3 Orion aircraft, ensuring mastery of critical systems and safety protocols, while working remotely or in Jacksonville, FL.

Key responsibilities

• Teach aircraft systems and conduct practical instruction in classroom and simulator environments
• Assess student proficiency in flight operations and emergency procedures
• Create and manage realistic flight training scenarios in the P-3 Operational Flight Simulator

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of recent experience as a P-3 Flight Engineer Instructor, with teaching within the last 2 years
• FAA Flight Engineer Certificate or military equivalent qualification preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of the P-3 Orion's engines, avionics, and emergency operations
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check
