Job Summary
To support the organization's commitment to integrity and financial well-being, the remote Special Investigator II will apply investigative expertise to combat fraudulent activities, develop fraud prevention strategies, and prepare detailed reports on suspect claims.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate questionable first or third-party claims using knowledge of fraud schemes and investigation strategies
- Collect evidence through remote interviews and thorough searches of various resources, while establishing relationships with industry and law enforcement contacts
- Prepare and present comprehensive investigative reports summarizing findings and recommendations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant education
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in P&C SIU/Fraud investigations or 6 years in a related fraud industry investigation role
- Demonstrated knowledge of fraud investigations, case law, and state laws and regulations
- Ability to obtain or possess a P&C adjuster's license within 90 days of employment
- Experience in managing specialty/complex/litigated claims and cases
