Job Summary
Calling on payers to schedule Peer to Peer calls, the full-time P2P Appeals Coordinator will manage outbound communications, document interactions in proprietary systems, and support various departmental functions while working remotely within the U.S.
Key responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to schedule Peer to Peer discussions with medical directors and follow up on overdue cases
- Document information from payer interactions in the company's proprietary system and enter account statuses into multiple databases
- Provide support for case entry, Peer to Peer processes, and appeals as needed while collaborating with team members
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Call center experience preferred, with an understanding of denials processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial/Managed Care
- Prior experience accessing hospital EMRs and Payer Portals is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, including the ability to use formulas and manage spreadsheets
- Accurate keyboard skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
