PA Licensed Behavioral Health Care Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Care Manager, BH - Remote in PA, Bedford, Somerset Cty.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment services for medical necessity and effectiveness
• Provide telephone triage, crisis intervention, and emergency authorizations as assigned
• Assist with discharge planning and care coordination, developing and overseeing implementation of discharge plans

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Current licensure in Pennsylvania as LCSW, LSW, LPC, or RN
• Minimum of 2 years of post-degree experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse settings
• Knowledge of utilization management procedures and community resources for mental health and substance abuse
• Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• Understanding of DSM V or the most current diagnostic edition
