Job Summary
Responsible for the daily operations of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), the full-time PACS Administrator will ensure optimal performance and security of imaging systems while supporting various clinical departments, with the possibility of remote work during night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure daily operations and maintenance of PACS for optimal uptime and reliability, troubleshooting and implementing solutions as needed
- Manage PACS integration with other hospital systems, including EHR and HIS, while developing security protocols to protect imaging data
- Provide high-level technical support and serve as the primary escalation point for complex PACS issues, while training clinical staff on system use
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- PACS certification, or completion within two years of hire
- Two years of desktop experience or work experience in an IT-related field
- Two years of work experience in IT or as a Radiology Technologist
- Experience with software performance modification
