Palo Alto Networks Security Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a highly analytical and experienced Palo Alto Networks Security Engineer, this remote contract position will administer and optimize Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) environments while ensuring strict adherence to ITIL and change control processes during standard business hours of 8am-5pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, analyze, and optimize Palo Alto Networks NGFW environments and security policies
- Analyze firewall traffic, logs, and security events to identify threats and policy inefficiencies
- Support and administer Cortex XDR, including analysis of alerts and endpoint security events
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW environments
- Proficiency in App-ID, User-ID, URL Filtering, and security policy optimization
- Experience with Cortex XDR and endpoint/security event analysis
- Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills for interpreting complex traffic and log data
- Strong understanding of ITIL and formal change control processes
