Job Summary

Working remotely as an independent contractor, the part-time Pampangan Interpreter will handle on-demand phone calls, rendering accurate interpretations between Pampangan and English speakers across various industries, including healthcare and government.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to interpreting sessions and conduct interpretations in a professional manner
• Render correct concepts and meanings while adhering to established interpretation protocols
• Maintain a professional demeanor and cultural sensitivity throughout interpreting sessions

Required qualifications

• Fluency in Pampangan and English with an understanding of cultural dynamics
• Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching or interpretation preferred
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills for accurate interpretation
• Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
