Paralegal

Job Summary

To support a growing legal team, the part-time hourly Paralegal will process claims related to garnishments, levies, and liens, while maintaining communication with various stakeholders in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Examine and ensure the accuracy and legal sufficiency of garnishments, levies, liens, and information subpoenas
• Review account files to identify implicated customer accounts and manage the restraint and release of funds
• Prepare and submit response documents to third parties within established timelines and assist customers with 1099-K tax form corrections

Required qualifications

• Experience with lien, levy, or garnishment processing is strongly encouraged
• Familiarity with 1099-K tax form corrections is a plus
• Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High level of reading comprehension
