Job Summary
Supporting the Bureau of Justice Assistance's Public Safety Officers' Benefits Program, the full-time remote Paralegal Specialist will review and analyze claims, track case data, and prepare documentation for educational assistance programs while working Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Key responsibilities
- Review and analyze PSOB death and disability claims, identifying issues of fact and law
- Track, capture, and report PSOB data and metrics to senior leadership and the Contracting Officer's Representative
- Prepare and organize claim documents for the Public Safety Officers' Educational Assistance Program
Required qualifications
- Associates Degree or higher
- 3 years of benefits/claims-specific experience or 4+ years of paralegal-related experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen meeting the DOJ Residency Requirement
- Ability to pass a Government security background investigation for a moderate risk public trust position
- Home office within the United States with appropriate internet and telephone service
