Parent Educator - DC Licensed

Job Summary

To support vulnerable families, the full-time remote PSP-EI (MIECHV) Parent Educator - DC Licensed will manage community outreach, provide parent education and screening services through home visits, and document performance metrics for families with high-risk pregnancies and children exiting the NICU.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit volunteer families for the home visiting program through community engagement
• Utilize screening tools for mandated assessments and coordinate health and family support services
• Document and report performance measurement and other data in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, some college classes, or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience
• Experience working with families and young children
• Knowledge of community resources in Washington, DC
• Ability to perform basic computer functions, including word processing and internet use
• Demonstrated cultural competence and excellent judgment in parenting skills
