Part B Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Part B Authorization Specialist to support its Rehabilitation and Revenue Cycle Departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process requests for prior authorization based on established therapy guidelines and contract criteria
• Maintain and update internal databases to track prior authorizations and ensure accessibility of information
• Provide training on the prior authorization process to new hires and generate reports for the Rehabilitation and Revenue Cycle teams

Required Qualifications

• General understanding of Healthcare Managed Care authorization process
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred
• Ability to work independently and prioritize a high volume of daily requests
• Healthcare experience is mandatory
• Proficient in MS Office Suite applications
