Part B Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Part B Authorization Specialist to support their Rehabilitation and Revenue Cycle Departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process requests for prior authorization based on therapy guidelines and contract criteria
• Maintain and update internal databases for tracking authorizations and communicate relevant information to staff
• Provide training on the prior authorization process to new hires and generate reports for the Rehabilitation and Revenue Cycle teams

Required Qualifications

• General understanding of the Healthcare Managed Care authorization process
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of daily requests
• Healthcare experience is essential
• Proficiency in using multiple proprietary software applications
