Part-Time Assistant Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Medical Director (Part-Time).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and input to the clinical team throughout the product development process
• Enhance the validity and accuracy of NLP outputs and identify additional medical terms for coded concepts
• Occasionally serve as a clinical liaison to medical policy teams at current customers

Required Qualifications

• MD/DO with at least 5 years of clinical experience
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle roles, including Utilization Management
• Prior experience in healthcare information technology and cross-functional teams is preferred
• Deep knowledge of the healthcare insurance industry and relevant regulations is advantageous
• Experience with payer medical policy teams and peer-to-peer conversations is a plus
