Part-Time College Counselor

Job Summary

To support students in their college admissions journey, the part-time College Counselor will manage a caseload of 12+ students, primarily juniors and seniors, working remotely and requiring availability during West Coast hours.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain 1:1 relationships with students and their families, providing guidance throughout the college admissions process
• Conduct counseling sessions outside of school hours, accommodating students' time zones, especially during the intensive fall season
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance counseling skills and stay updated on best practices

Required qualifications

• Experience working with high school students across various grade levels, including underclassmen
• Ability to navigate family dynamics and communicate effectively with parents
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple students and deadlines simultaneously
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional growth
• Comfort with technology and adapting to evolving systems in a remote work environment
