Job Summary
To support student engagement and success, the part-time Communication Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses remotely, facilitate discussions, and provide timely feedback while collaborating with other faculty to enhance the learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Teach and facilitate undergraduate and/or graduate courses, including hosting live lectures and engaging with students through various communication methods
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student submissions and conduct weekly outreach to support struggling students
- Serve as a subject matter expert to assist with curriculum maintenance and participate in faculty development opportunities
Required qualifications
- Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in the teaching discipline or closely related field from an accredited institution
- Have a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline if holding a terminal degree in a different field
- Demonstrate experience teaching at the college/university level, preferably in the relevant discipline
- Provide own equipment, including a computer, printer, and reliable internet access
- Be available to teach during evening and weekend hours as required by the course schedule
