Job Summary
To support student learning in a remote environment, the part-time Communications Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, engage with students to promote course completion, and serve as a subject matter expert in their discipline.
Key responsibilities
- Teach and facilitate undergraduate and/or graduate courses, including hosting live lectures and managing discussion boards
- Communicate regularly with students, providing timely feedback and outreach to those struggling in the course
- Participate in faculty development opportunities and assist with curriculum maintenance as a content expert
Required qualifications
- Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Have at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline if holding a terminal degree in another field
- Experience teaching at the college/university level is preferred
- Ability to provide own equipment, including a computer, printer, and secure internet access
- Knowledge of academic processes and university guidelines
