Job Summary
To support student learning in economics, the part-time Economics Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses remotely, engaging with students through live lectures, feedback on assignments, and weekly outreach while ensuring academic integrity and curriculum relevance.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate economics courses, facilitating discussions and providing timely feedback through the Blackboard Learning Management System
- Conduct weekly outreach to students, encouraging engagement and addressing academic concerns
- Host a minimum of two live lectures during specified evening and weekend hours to enhance student interaction
Required qualifications
- Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in economics or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution
- Have a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in economics or a closely related field
- Demonstrate experience teaching at the college/university level, preferably in the discipline
- Provide own equipment, including a computer, printer, and reliable internet access
- Be available to check classes and attend to students during evenings and weekends
