Job Summary
To support a dynamic learning environment, the Part-Time Meteorology Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses remotely, engaging with students through live lectures, discussion boards, and timely feedback while collaborating with faculty to maintain curriculum standards.
Key responsibilities
- Teach and facilitate undergraduate and/or graduate courses, ensuring student engagement and course completion
- Conduct weekly outreach to students and respond to inquiries within 48 hours, utilizing the university's communication tools
- Serve as a subject matter expert, assisting with curriculum maintenance and addressing academic integrity concerns
Required qualifications
- Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Have a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline or related field
- Demonstrate experience teaching at the college/university level (preferred)
- Provide own equipment, including a computer, printer, and reliable internet access
- Ability to conduct live lectures during specified evening and weekend hours
