Part-Time Meteorology Faculty

Job Summary

To support a dynamic learning environment, the Part-Time Meteorology Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses remotely, engaging with students through live lectures, discussion boards, and timely feedback while collaborating with faculty to maintain curriculum standards.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate undergraduate and/or graduate courses, ensuring student engagement and course completion
• Conduct weekly outreach to students and respond to inquiries within 48 hours, utilizing the university's communication tools
• Serve as a subject matter expert, assisting with curriculum maintenance and addressing academic integrity concerns

Required qualifications

• Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
• Have a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline or related field
• Demonstrate experience teaching at the college/university level (preferred)
• Provide own equipment, including a computer, printer, and reliable internet access
• Ability to conduct live lectures during specified evening and weekend hours
