Job Summary

To support the College of Safety and Emergency Services, the part-time OSH Faculty will teach undergraduate and graduate courses remotely, engage with students through various communication methods, and contribute to curriculum maintenance while working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities
  • Teaches assigned undergraduate and graduate courses, facilitating student engagement and course completion
  • Conducts weekly outreach to students, provides timely feedback on submissions, and hosts live lectures
  • Serves as a subject matter expert, assisting with curriculum reviews and addressing academic integrity concerns
Required qualifications
  • Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline for those with a terminal degree in any field
  • At least two years of experience in the teaching discipline for undergraduate courses or five years for graduate courses
  • Experience teaching at the college/university level is preferred
  • Ability to provide own equipment, including a computer, internet access, and relevant software
