Part-Time Philosophy and Theology Teacher

Job Summary

To support the intellectual and spiritual formation of students, the part-time Philosophy and Theology Teacher will provide live instruction and mentoring in a remote environment, teaching one to four courses that meet twice a week for 80 minutes each, while also engaging in curriculum development and student activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous instruction and support for up to seven sections of class each term
• Grade student assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Gravitas curriculum

Required Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Philosophy or Theology
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience, including online instruction
• High proficiency with technology, including online teaching tools and learning management systems
• Strong work ethic and ability to connect with teenagers in an online learning environment
• Eligibility to work in the United States and maintain a permanent U.S. address
