Part-Time Principal Engineer

Job Summary

To support strategic engineering initiatives, the part-time Principal Engineer will oversee complex projects, serve as a technical authority in the natural gas industry, and mentor engineering teams while working remotely for approximately 20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the strategic direction of engineering practices and lead multi-discipline projects to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Serve as the top technical expert, providing guidance on engineering calculations, designs, and compliance with industry standards
• Mentor engineers at all levels, leading training initiatives and fostering career growth within the organization

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; Master's degree preferred
• 25+ years of experience in engineering with a proven leadership track record in large-scale projects
• Exceptional strategic thinking and leadership skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of natural gas distribution systems and regulatory compliance
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
