Part-Time Principal Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Part-Time Principal Mechanical Engineer to deliver high-quality engineering documents and collaborate on multi-discipline projects in a fully remote capacity, averaging 30 hours or less per week, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate engineering documents, including drawings and calculations, that meet industry codes and client requirements
• Develop engineering documents in alignment with regulatory requirements and established procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and conduct on-site evaluations to inform project work

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent
• 10 years of experience in nuclear or power generation design of mechanical systems
• Experience in engineering/design services, power generation, or nuclear power industries
• Nuclear Engineering Change qualifications and 10CFR50.59 Screen and/or Evaluation qualifications preferred
• Proficiency in mechanical calculations and familiarity with Word and Excel
