Part-Time Psychiatrist

Job Summary

To provide clinical leadership and direct patient care within a hospital-based behavioral health unit, the part-time Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry will manage telehealth rounding, admissions, and treatment planning while overseeing quality standards and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fully remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the clinical leader for the inpatient psychiatric service line, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, admissions, and follow-up visits, including daily rounding and medication management
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on program development, performance improvement, and operational alignment

Required qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist with previous hospital-based Medical Director experience
• Unrestricted, independent licensure and established CAQH and FCVS profiles
• Experience providing psychiatric care to all age groups, particularly in acute crisis settings
• Advanced technical proficiency in telehealth, including multiple EMRs and Microsoft software
