Position Description
The Sanford Institute of Philanthropy is looking to expand our revenue threefold by the end of 2017! This position may be the perfect fit for you if you are a highly self-motivated and driven professional who enjoys high-priority challenges and is able to connect with people and work toward a common goal in support of a good cause.

The Ambassador to the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy (SIP) will be responsible for:

Seeking out and building successful relationships with key contacts in SoCal
External outreach efforts and professional development
Support of the participating SIP affiliates
Developing strategic relationships with corporations, professional organizations, non-profits, and foundations to communicate program benefits and secure Sanford training and implementation to these organizations
Securing training contracts from these relationships and organizing venues for the related workshops, lunch-and-learns, and other events across multiple locations
The person in this role will work remotely from a home office and will need to travel locally around southern California with reliable transportation. Regional travel could be up to 50% of the time, during the work day. Computer equipment will be provided but a strong internet connection is necessary for success in this role.

Please note: this position offers base-pay only (no commission).

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following background and abilities:

An advanced degree (Master's degree) strongly preferred
A minimum of 5 years of sales experience and demonstrable experience developing relationships with senior level leaders
Experience planning and implementing adult learning/training programs
Understanding of the non-profit sector, or fundraising experience
Ability to communicate and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences
Excellent interpersonal skills and a polished, professional demeanor
Project management experience preferred
Experience coordinating events preferred
