Job Summary

A staffing firm is searching for a person to fill their position for a Partial Telecommute Java Security Engineer in New York City.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Designing and improving APIs
  • Writing clients for web services
  • Creating data structures and algorithms

Position Requirements Include:

  • Onsite required for the initial onboarding process, then 100% remote
  • 2-3 years of experience with Java, JavaScript in a security space
  • Familiarity with creating RESTful APIs and writing clients for web services using Spring/Jersey
  • Experience developing Java in high-performance systems
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and build tools (Maven, Gradle)
  • Basic understanding of database (Sybase, Oracle, MySQL)
