Patch Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Managing the patch management and vulnerability remediation processes, the full-time salaried Patch Engineering Lead will ensure the security and integrity of IT infrastructure by conducting assessments, deploying updates, and collaborating with IT teams remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans to identify security weaknesses across the organization's network and systems
• Develop, test, and deploy patches and updates while coordinating remediation efforts with IT and security teams
• Maintain documentation of patching activities and monitor security advisories to stay informed about emerging vulnerabilities

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in patch management and vulnerability assessment within a professional IT or cybersecurity environment
• Familiarity with common vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and patch deployment processes
• Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs)
• Experience with automated patch management solutions like Microsoft SCCM or WSUS is preferred
