Patent Attorney - Life Sciences

Job Summary

Supporting the Life Sciences Intellectual Property team, the fully remote Patent Attorney - Life Sciences will focus on patent prosecution for biopharmaceutical technologies, managing patent portfolios, drafting applications, and conducting freedom-to-operate analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage patent portfolios for early-stage research, clinical development, and commercial products
• Draft and prosecute patent applications while collaborating with inventors and driving IP strategy
• Conduct freedom-to-operate analyses and support risk assessment and mitigation strategies

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of life sciences patent prosecution experience, particularly in application drafting and prosecution
• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required
• JD and active good standing admission to at least one U.S. state bar are required
• Experience managing global IP portfolios for large molecule biopharmaceuticals
• Experience in gene therapy, cell therapy, and RNA therapeutics is a plus
