Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patent Counsel focused on Chemical Engineering and Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses and provide patent risk and strategy advice
• Support IP aspects of complex transactions, including mergers & acquisitions and licensing
• Draft, review, and manage patent portfolios in chemistry and chemical engineering technologies

Required Qualifications

• 6-15 years of experience in patent law with a focus on chemistry or chemical engineering technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (ChemE preferred)
• Strong experience with FTO analyses and transaction-related IP support
• Demonstrated business acumen for advising on commercially driven IP strategies
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree (or equivalent) with an active bar license
