Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patent Drafter to help protect and accelerate breakthroughs in small-molecule drug development.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft high-quality patent applications in the life sciences domain, focusing on small molecule therapeutics
• Prepare patent specifications using experimental data, technical reports, and inventor inputs
• Analyze patentability and conduct landscape searches to assess invention scope and positioning

Required Qualifications

• M.S. or higher degree in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience drafting patent applications in life sciences, especially small molecule therapeutics
• Strong understanding of chemical structures, including Markush representations
• Proven ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, precise patent language
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
