Patient Access Associate

Job Summary

Working remotely on weekends, the full-time Patient Access Associate will manage patient registration activities, ensuring accounts are complete with valid insurance and demographic data, while calculating financial responsibilities and processing payments across multiple healthcare service lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform registration activities to ensure patient accounts are accurate and complete
• Calculate patient financial responsibilities and present payment options
• Support multiple sites within the healthcare system, including emergency and outpatient services

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• One year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, clinical roles, or related clerical/customer service positions required
• Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or call center environment preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association or as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative preferred
