Patient Access Authorization Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Services Authorization Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform insurance verification and authorization functions to support Patient Access Services
• Document and maintain records of referral activity and authorizations in appropriate systems
• Respond to provider orders and obtain necessary authorizations for tests and procedures

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare insurance and/or authorizations
• Advanced abilities in common office software, including word processing and spreadsheets
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational skills and human relations skills are required
