Patient Access Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Coordinator responsible for managing the registration process of patients for outpatient behavioral healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Handles a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls to facilitate a positive customer/patient experience
• Accurately documents patient demographic and health information into the electronic health record system
• Schedules appointments based on intake assessments and provider matrix

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associates degree in Health Administration or related field preferred
• One year customer service or call center experience required, with emphasis in healthcare preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance, or medical billing preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
