Job Summary
To support the Patient Financial Services team, the full-time Patient Access Insurance Coordinator will verify patient insurance eligibility, resolve billing issues, and maintain detailed documentation while working remotely during standard business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Performs insurance verification functions and documents actions taken on patient accounts
- Reviews bill hold worklists to resolve issues and release claims in the billing system
- Coordinates and prioritizes activities to meet departmental and corporate goals, making recommendations for improvements
Required qualifications
- 3 years of insurance verification and authorization experience
- 3 years of medical billing and utilization experience
- Strong Epic registration and scheduling experience
- Competency in MS Office
- High School Diploma / GED
