Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Access Insurance Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance, authorization, and referral validation processes
- Verify insurance information and communicate with payors regarding authorization and referral requirements
- Maintain excellent working relationships with patients, providers, and external agencies
Required Qualifications:
- High School Degree/GED
- Three (3) years of experience with insurance verification, authorization, and medical billing
- Patient Accounting, 3rd Party Payor, and/or Managed Care experience
- Thorough knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
