Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

Representing the highest standards of customer service, the full-time Patient Access Representative will facilitate patient scheduling, registration, and financial clearance processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate patient entrance processes, including scheduling, registration, and benefit verification
• Ensure accurate patient data is obtained and populated in the patient record
• Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and accreditation agencies

Required qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college education is helpful
• 1-3 years of clerical experience preferred, with familiarity in medical terminology and insurance plans
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish positive working relationships
• Proficiency with computer systems and ability to use a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard
